The name "La Traverse" is the name of the wind from the northwest that sometimes blows in storm in the town. But it is also the name of an old traditional farm with slate roof, one of the main places of life in Feynoise.
L’auberge La Traverse is located 100 metres from the village center of Fay Sur Lignon in the Haute Loire region of France. It is a recently restored, 150+ year old stone building that was once a farm and consists of 3 double bedrooms, 1 triple bedroom and the loft which has 6 single beds. There is also a beautiful restaurant on the ground floor seating 20 and a large event space for parties, meetings and concerts that holds 70 people.
Our restaurant is led by the chef/owner Mike Rich. With over 30 years in the business, he has a passion for all types of cuisines. Mike has travelled to over 80 countries and brings a vast repertoire of menus to the table..
Service is done family style with everyone sitting together on our 2 large farmhouse tables. Menus vary from week to week depending on what’s available from the local farms. All food is prepared in-house using as many locally sourced products, truly farm to table.
